It was SPEED day for swimming. The swim went great and I felt totally energized, but man did I get my heart pumping! It only took about 30min to complete the workout. It was nice. Megan didn't make it this morning, she was super tired. They are working on a new exhibit so she's been super busy - so she'll go later today. Sam's going to go during class time break (right about now). It's hard to coordinate babysitting so Sam and I can workout together, but that's okay. We still love talking about it later.
I still have a 45 min bike ride later today, but it's all good. Gotta get it all in before work tonight. Thank goodness I have Zija! When I'm tired, I know it will give me the boost I need to keep going! Well, happy trails and happy swimming!!

Hot! Hot! Hot!
Man! Was it hot out there! I just finished my 30min jog. I really didn't want to run today. I was so tired and just wanted to lay there watching The Office, but I have a goal and cheating isn't an option. I ran 3 miles in 30min. That's pretty good for me. Megan and Sam ran on their own tonight. Sam's an amazing athlete and he can run without putting hardly any effort into it. I wish I was that lucky. Megan on the other hand is with me. We prefer to walk FAST, not run. Cause we both run SLOW. We're working on it. I keep telling myself that the more we practice, the better will get. Some days it feels like we're actually getting slower! :-)
But in reality, I know it's going to get better. Thank goodness I had my Zija before I went running. It was the energy I needed to keep going. Half way through I felt that extra burst and was able to finish. I know what they mean when they say Natural Energy and Pure Nutrition. I get the energy without the downer later. You know those energy drinks that give you that high and then you CRASH hard? Zija doesn't do that. I get the PURE energy and the nutrition all in one easy 2oz dose! You can take up to 4 shots a day and you're still safe and healthy!
Honestly, I was feeling sick earlier today and I had a runny nose, but now I feel so much better. Thank goodness for natural nutrition. Well, I stink and I'm still sweating, so I'm gonna hop into the shower and then it's time to make dinner! Happy running!

It's official! We've started our training!
Already we're 8 days into our training for our half iron man. I can say that I'm definitely more tired than usual, but I know when I run, bike, or swim that Zija XM3 is giving me the energy to get through the workouts. Today Megan and I went on an hour long bike ride. The weather was just beautiful, with the clouds dotting the sky and the sun breaking forth over the mountains. We were riding in the small ring today, so we had time to chat while our legs spun furiously and our bikes moved slowly.
My legs are more adjusted to riding now after a week, but my rear end is still a little saddle sore. The past 2 Mondays we've ridden for 90 minutes. It's definitely getting better. There are times when I feel like I have no energy, but then I get this second wind and I'm able to keep going. I know it's the Zija XM3. The moringa gives me the extra boost that I need to keep going. Moringa is such an amazing plant. Used in other parts of the world to cure nutritional deficiencies, moringa provides the body with all the essential vitamins and nutrients to keep the immune system strong and provide energy. It's amazing. To learn more, visit www.drinklifein.com. The best part is that you only need 2oz a day! I love ZIJA!
Tonight we have a 30min jog. The two-a-days are going to be rough to work into our schedule, but I know it will all be worth it in the end. I just keep thinking, lean, mean, and one strong triathlete machine. My goal is 5 and 1/2 hours to complete the whole 70.3 miles. That's 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike ride, and 13.1 mile run! It's the running that will slow me down. But hey, if you never try anything - how can you get anywhere? I love trying new things and I look forward to training as the weeks count down to race day! March 27, 2010 here I come!
